Investment Castings design and manufacturing is a core competence of Cypress Industries. Our casting foundry in China is able to manufacture tight tolerance precision investment castings for many different industries. These Investment Castings are high quality and very cost effective. Foundry engineers located at our Austin, Texas facility are able to redesign parts to be made into high quality castings. Our casting foundry in China works closely with our US engineers to produce high-quality, precision, repeatable investment castings.
Investment castings are one of the more popular methods for producing repeatable metal parts with significant cast-in features or details. Because investment castings or lost wax castings require a large amount of labor, we are able to utilize our lower cost structures in China, and provide a low cost final product. We are also able to offer finished machining, plating and other secondary operations for your lost wax castings with little additional cost. Manufacturing engineers in the US develop setup and manufacturing processes for our foundry in China to maximize yields and lower overall costs.
Our investment casting foundry in China is not typical of most China casting foundries. Due to proximity to Russia and lack of engineering, most investment casting foundries in China produce castings with inferior processes and raw materials typically known as Russian style investment castings. This technique is not actually investment casting it is shell molding. Russian style does not preheat the shell mold and this means you have to super-heat your alloy which can break down material composition from melt to melt. China or Russian style investment castings are not known for having proper chemical composition of their final product. This inconsistency is directly related to the super-heating of alloys and not preheating shells.
Our China foundry uses American style investment casting techniques and our shells are typically heated to 1800 F which means we do not have to super-heat alloys, it provides greater details on the surface of the casting and the solidification pathway of the entire tree is consistently controlled. We also use injection presses for our wax parts instead of pour molds. The dimensional stability from part to part of injected wax is more repeatable than pour molds.
Stainless steel investment castings, steel investment castings, aluminum investment castings, nickel alloy investment castings, cobalt alloy investment castings and iron investment castings are some of the processes used at our China casting foundries. Our China foundry is able to produce close tolerance or precision castings, with value added machining, plating, high finish and assembly if needed. This allows us to produce a variety of investment castings for the industrial and energy related industries, including pressure-containing components.
Unlike die casting, lost wax casting allows the use of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The investment casting process or lost wax process provides a high quality affordable solution for repeatable metal products with cast-in details or features. Details and benefits of investment castings are listed at the links below. Please be sure to contact Cypress Industries for your die casting, sand casting, closed die forgings, turnings and powdered metal low-cost manufacturing needs in China.
Our manufacturing centers in Dongguan, China (just inside the border from Hong Kong) and Austin, Texas can make sure all of your investment castings needs are met. From our China location we are able to ship to any locations in the world. In addition, our central United States location in Austin, Texas can warehouse product and provide next day service to cities such as Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin, Texas for larger volume forecasted orders.
